Jim McIntosh, from Kinross, Scotland

I am a new member to the Chapter and Wilma has suggested that I should send some pics of my bike and myself, I have recently returned to Scotland after working away for a few years in France near Toulouse and more recently in Wiltshire. I currently work and live on an estate in rural Perthshire not too far from the 'Sma Glen' surrounded by stunning scenery and great roads. My own house is in Kinross and is being looked after by my son. I have a healthy passion for bikes although my wife says obsession having owned around 70 different machines over my lifetime, my current bike is a 2017 Softail Breakout although I do admit to having another v-twin namely a 2007 Moto Guzzi Norge which I also love riding, lurking in the back of my garage is a Yamaha 1200 Vmax just about completed resto project.

So that's a brief description of me and my biking passion as they say...to be continued.....hopefully!!

I hope that's not too boring!

Look forward to meeting everyone and some good rides.

Al & Suz Paterson, from Lothians, Scotland

Al has had a few bikes since he started riding Harleys, I ride pillion and I am also the National Associate Ladies of Harley Officer for the UK and Ireland.

Al’s first bike was a 1200 low Sportster, then he had a Dyna wide glide before buying the beaut that was the Green Machine, 2011 Softail Deluxe. We loved touring on her and had traveled to Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and France. Due to the amount of touring we were doing,  we had been thinking of buying another bike that would suit us more in terms of comfort, luggage, etc.

Unfortunately, the decision to change bikes was made for us when Al was involved in an accident that left him with a smashed wrist, broken ribs, and the Green Machine was written off 😥.

Thankfully, Al had a speedy recovery and was determined to get back riding as soon as he was able and so we now own a Road King 2017, with less than 50 miles on her when we bought her. 😃🏍

We have traveled all of Route 66 in 2014 and really hope to do it again someday. We took in the Harley Davidson Museum on that trip, an amazing place, as well as riding some of the Pacific Coast Highway. That trip ended with us getting married in Las Vegas.😎❤🇺🇸

There is nothing quite like planning a road trip to keep you going through the winter months. This year, we have booked up for Sturgis in South Dakota and will do a 3-week tour of some of the states nearby including Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and taking in Yellowstone National Park, just the 2 of us. If it doesn’t happen this year, it will roll over to next year 😊

Love being part of the H.O.G. family and making new friends not only in Dunedin Chapter 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿but all over the world 🌎

Dez & Moira Urban, from Fife Scotland

My name is Dez S Urban and I look after www.dunedinhog.com and its online private Dunedin Members area.

I am a long time Harley-Davidson rider and have clocked up a fair few miles, the last count was 106340 miles on my various models over the years. Most of these miles have been in Europe and the USA with my lovely wife Moira.

The Dunedin web site has all the info that you as a member need to get the very best out of our chapter. Its very dynamic and can be viewed on your smart device or PC. I am always looking for photos of you and your ride to add to the Members gallery, so feel free to send me 4 photos and a couple of paragraphs on yourself so that I can add you to the gallery. I am also very keen on ideas that I can add to enhance your web browsing experience (webmaster speak) on the Dunedin site, so if you have any, feel free to email me on webmaster@dunedinhog.com, you can use this address for your gallery photos as well.

I hope to see you on the road this year and catch up for a blether and a laugh. After all, that’s why we do it, so let’s not forget that.

Duncan & Angel Innes, from Tyrie, Aberdeenshire

My Kids- Jennifer 19 and Jack 13

Having lived overseas for around 20 years I relocated back to the UK in 2017.  I’ve had several bikes over the years but always wanted a Harley Davidson.  The wife convinced me to go for it before I got too old 😂

I’m 44 years old and the wife is turning 40 this year.

My introduction to HD was a purchase of a 2013 FatBoy from Ritebike in Bradford on 8th August 2020. I drove down a one-way rental and then rode it home the next day after a few pints with an English pal of mine.   We toured the Yorkshire Dales that day before I headed North and my buddy headed South.

Hadn’t been on a bike for a while so the prospect of that ride was extremely scary.  I had several Vape stops going up the road with periodic Butt Massages to easy butt fatigue 😂.   The first part of the journey was awesome but it started to get cold at Dundee and I stopped and inserted by inner layers.   I hit freezing fog in Aberdeen and was in pretty poor shape by the time I reached home in The Shire.

I put on 2k miles on the Fatty in the limited decent weather last year and my son loved to come along for the ride.

Sitting around in January I decided that a Tourer would be more my thing as the Fatty wasn’t great for longer rides IMO.   Traded it into Edinburgh HD for a 2019 RK Special which I’m delighted with.
