Headphones for NHS Fife

The money raised from the charity patches has helped a wonderful project in NHS Fife.  This project is lead by Consultant Anaesthetist, Dr. Maria Armstrong.

Some of the Dunedin Chapter money raised from the charity patches was used to pay for headphones.  Patients who are having surgery whilst they are still awake will be given the opportunity to listen to music on an iPad using these headphones whilst getting surgery.  What a fabulous way of taking your mind off things.  The Chapter is passionate about the hard work the NHS does. We donated £1000 to NHS Fife; £200 was spent on the speakers and headphones for patients and £800 was spent on thermal bottles for staff so they could have hot drinks.

Once the headphones had been purchased and had arrived at the hospital NHS Fife sent the Chapter an email to say thank you very much to the Chapter for their support this year.  To wish us a Merry Christmas and sent us this wonderful photo of Dr. Maria Armstrong with her iPad supporting the Dunedin patch and a pair of headphones that the Chapter purchased.

Wishing the project every success.
