New Chapter Director Awarded 2025

Dear Dunedin Members

Happy New Year to all Dunedin Chapter members!

Our Director Stewart Willox is pleased to announce that having confirmed with Kirk Hale – Edinburgh Dealer Principal, that Craig Stewart will be announced as the new Chapter Director, at this year’s AGM.

We have made the decision to announce this appointment early, to allow Craig time to contact both existing Officers, Road Crew and choose potential New Officers to build his team for our new year 2025.

The Chapter is in a positive place, the Rally continues to evolve and we have the full support of Edinburgh Harley-Davidson, and we jointly continue on being an integral part of the wider H-D family. We hope you will join us to congratulate Craig Stewart as he steps forward into his new role.

A story, of how Craig got into the Harley Davidson thought process, and owner of a Harley Davidson motorcycle in the first place.

Why I bought a Hawg.

How I came about buying a Harley-Davidson? I blame my mate 😂

One day he asked if I could store a couple in my Garage. He builds bike choppers and buys and sells them.

So he had sold one of them and needed it being delivered to his house. He asked me to for some help and I duly provided.

So, after being persuaded to take a run out on it with my power ranger suit on race helmet, boots, and gloves (really looking the part on a Harley 😂) let me add he is only ten minutes from me.

Well 40 minutes later I arrived and he said where the F__k have you been. I said here min these things are actually alright eh. He replied I’ve been telling you that for year’s so let’s get you one but you need a twin cam 103 as it’s fuel injection etc.

Then I had to have one. I was that guy that would never buy a Harley never be in a chapter and have nothing to do with a chapter . Lol now look at me 😂

Been riding since I was 16 okay a wee bit before that but in fields and wooded areas. I have had 50cc up to 1400cc Yamaha R1, Hondas, Suzuki GSX r etc.

I now enjoy the Harley lifestyle and love being in Dunedin Chapter I have done about 50,000 miles in the chapter and loved every mile sun, rain, sleet or snow. On my Road King Classic 2010 race tuned with a few trick additions I’ll just point and go , Happy Days .

I have now this year also bought a 2022 Harley Pan America now this is a different Harley all together with the ability of going off road and Jezzo it does that well.

It also handles on Road and great for Mile crunching. Not going to lie I bought this as a second bike but it’s become my goto bike.

We have quite a few Pan Americas in our chapter now, and this is great to see that these new adventure bike has been embraced by other members too.

I decided to trade in the road king in 2024 and now have an Ultra Ltd CVO nice one.

Ride safe and keep it on the black stuff.
